+ the app is now compatible with iPad devices. compatible, not optimized, playing with phones is still recommended as the best way to play. more changes will come from this soon + a more refined edge case system for gryd game play has been developed [mostly revolving around participants leaving games earlier than anticipated], making it much harder to break the game. immersion saved, crisis averted. + No Contest states have been added for when games have to be ended early, helping to keep every participant in the loop, and on the same page.

+ An In-Game Announcer that updates events happening In-Game, in real time
+ A pre match staging area to give devices ample time to share relevant game info, and participants time to choose where they would like to spawn (15 seconds)
+ more rigid edge case testing to handle when the app is being used incorrectly (go test it, go try and break the game)
+ undo / redo features in the Gryd Creator menu! no more leaving and re entering to perfect your creations

How to create a Gryd

Start by Tapping ‘Create a Gryd’

Gryds promote succinct modularity. Hosts can change a lot of features about their Gryds, including the Win Conditions and Lives System. Attributes like the Target Score, Match Timer, Count of Lives [or Unlimited Lives option] are all determined by the Host.

Tap the map to define the bounds of your Gryd.

Joining/Hosting Gryds

Hosts receive a 6-digit Room Access Code that they provide to everyone that they want to participate. Joining participants only have to type the code in to join the room.

Ways to Score

+Occupy an objective to gain 2 pts/5 seconds +Teams gain 3 pts for every hit opponent +Hacking an objective boosts your teams score 7 pts [stacking]

-Standing Out Of Bounds deducts 5 pts/ 5 seconds from the team

-Failing a hack can lead to a short circuit, where the player will lose a life

‘Hit’ players cannot score points or perform hacks, even if they are still standing on the objective. Their presence is no longer counted on the objective until they respawn too

Capturing objectives score 1 pt per participant , every two seconds

So for example, if there are 6 players in a game total, the team that has the hill would receive 6 pts / 2 seconds

Objectives can stay captured for up to two minutes, even if players decide to leave

When an objective is contested, it doesn’t award points to either team
